Janus Henderson Investors has appointed Mia Söderberg as Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) for Emerging Markets Debt, jumping from Munich Re. She will represent the asset manager's EM Debt strategies to clients, consultants, and key distribution partners globally operating from Copenhagen and reporting to Kareena Moledina, Lead Client Portfolio Manager EMEA.
'Instrumental'
“Mia’s appointment allows us to deepen our relationships and further align our investment strategies with client needs," Thomas Haugaard, Portfolio Manager on the EM Debt Hard Currency Team at Janus Henderson Investors said. "Her deep understanding of manager selection and portfolio construction across the global EMD universe adds a perspective few teams have access to. She will play an instrumental role in helping us scale the platform and deliver a consistently high-quality client experience.”
Growth
The Janus EMD franchise manages more than $3 billion, after building up significant capacity in recent years to meet client interest in the asset class.
At Munich Re, Ms. Söderberg served as Senior Manager for Asset Manager Selection for the insurer's investment management arm, prior to which she was Senior Portfolio Manager in Manager Selection at Nykredit AM and Head of Fund Selection at IKC Capital.
